The moment to ask for feedback (before you build)
A lot of community owners wait until something is "done" before asking what members think. That's backwards. The best time to ask is when you're still deciding what to build. Here's why: members who help shape a feature feel ownership. They're more likely to use it, invite others, and stick around. Plus, they'll tell you things you'd never think of alone. What this looks like: - You're thinking about adding a newsletter. Post a quick question: "Would you want weekly digests of top posts in your inbox?" - Considering a paid tier. Ask: "What would make a membership worth it to you?" - Wondering if you should run monthly challenges. Poll: "How often would you want to compete?" Don't overthink it. A simple post with a poll or open question is enough. You'll learn fast what people actually want versus what you guessed they'd want. The added bonus: these conversations often spark ideas in the comments. Someone will suggest something you didn't see coming, and that's gold. This works whether your community is brand new or growing. Members at any stage love being asked. It says you actually care what they think. If you want to try this, you can create a community for free at https://club.anyza.market and post a question right away. What's something you've been thinking about building for your community? Have you asked your members yet?
