Structuring a short course: one clear win per lesson

If you're building a course inside your community, the temptation is to cram everything into one long lesson. Don't. People finish short lessons. People abandon long ones. Here's a structure that works: - One lesson = one small skill or answer, not a whole topic. - Aim for 5–15 minutes to complete (reading, video, a simple task). - End with a clear outcome: "You'll know how to X" or "You'll have built Y." - Add a simple check: a question, a reflection prompt, or a file to submit. Why this matters: your members can finish a lesson in one sitting. They get the satisfaction of progress. They move up a level. They come back tomorrow. Long courses feel like work. Short, clear lessons feel like wins. When you build this way, you're also building trust. You're saying: "I respect your time. This won't waste it." Start with three lessons instead of ten. Test what works. Ask your members what they'd like to learn next. A course that grows with your community stays relevant. If you want to try building and sharing lessons with your members, you can create a community for free at https://club.anyza.market. What's one skill or answer your community keeps asking for that could become a perfect first lesson?
