Solana Price Today (Oct 28, 2026): SOL Holds $100 as ETF Outflows Continue – Daily SOL News & Outlook
**Solana Family Daily Brief – October 28, 2026** **SOL price snapshot (≈12:30 UTC)** - SOL/USDT: **$102.04** (+1.6% in 24h; range $99.87 – $103.69) - SOL/USDC (USD spot): **~$101.90** (+1.1% to +1.5% in 24h; low $99.70, high $103.53) - 7-day change: roughly **-5%**. Perp open interest: about **$6.3B**. SOL held the psychological **$100** level again after testing it several times this week. It is still well below its October open (~$118). **What moved the market in the last 24h** 1. **ETF outflows continue.** US spot Solana ETFs are on their third straight week of net redemptions: about -$17M last week and more than -$72M for the month. Oct 27 alone saw about -$19M for SOL, while Bitcoin ETFs took in ~$176M. Total AUM across ~20 Solana ETFs is about $2.4B, with Bitwise's BSOL still the largest at ~$1.1B. 2. **Whale activity.** Three linked wallets moved about 482K SOL (~$49M). More than 171K SOL went to exchanges, which traders read as possible selling pressure. 3. **Jupiter now leads Solana lending.** SolanaFloor reports Jupiter holds ~53% of weekly lending deposits, and Jupiter Lend TVL is above $1.5B, ahead of Kamino. Kamino is answering with new wallet integrations and leadership hires. It's a sign of healthy competition in Solana DeFi. 4. **Breakpoint 2026 lineup grows.** Solana's flagship conference comes to London in mid-November. Speakers now include the Revolut chair, a former UK prime minister and a former chancellor, alongside DTCC, Mastercard, Zelle, Bitwise and Backpack. That is a strong TradFi signal for the ecosystem. 5. **Firedancer adds an anti-spam fee.** Jump's Firedancer client introduced a new fee after a wave of AI-generated bug reports, a small but useful step for client security processes. 6. **Alpenglow aftermath.** The Alpenglow consensus upgrade (live on mainnet since Oct 21, targeting much faster finality) is a major technical milestone. Price action after it has been "sell the news," but the long-term fundamentals improved. **Macro backdrop** Bitcoin is struggling around **$80–81K** and has dipped below $80K several times this week, as markets reduce risk ahead of the Fed meeting and amid Middle East tensions. US stocks closed higher on Oct 27 (S&P 500 +0.6%, Nasdaq +1.2%), which helped crypto bounce a little overnight. **Key levels to watch** - **Resistance:** $105–106 (20/50-day EMAs), then $110–111 - **Support:** $98.5–99 (October low), then $96 and $93–94. The 200-day EMA sits near $98. **Technicals:** RSI ~42 (neutral, leaning weak), and MACD is still slightly negative. **Sentiment for the next 24h: Neutral to slightly bearish 🟡** SOL is bouncing off $100, and fundamentals (Alpenglow, DeFi growth, TradFi interest ahead of Breakpoint) remain strong. Short-term, though, ETF outflows, whale deposits to exchanges and a shaky BTC ahead of the Fed are headwinds. The base case is range trading between **$99 and $106**. A clean break above $106 would turn the outlook bullish. A daily close below $98.5 opens the way to $94–96. The Fed decision is the main volatility trigger. *Not financial advice.
