Solana (SOL) Price Today, Oct 25, 2026: SOL Holds $100 Support as ETF Outflows Weigh | Daily News

Good morning, Solana Family! Here is your daily SOL market brief for Sunday, October 25, 2026 (data as of ~12:00 UTC). ## SOL price snapshot (last 24h) - SOL/USDT: $101.12 (-0.27% in 24h) | 24h range: $98.62 - $102.77 - SOL/USDC: $100.99 (-0.29% in 24h) | 24h range: $98.52 - $102.64 - Market cap: ~$59.6B | 24h volume: ~$2.06B (all markets) SOL spent a quiet weekend session pinned around the $100 mark. Buyers stepped in again near $98.5, but every push toward $103 got sold. SOL is still down roughly 14% for October from its ~$118 monthly open. ## News roundup **1. Solana ETFs on track for their worst month since launch** US spot Solana ETFs have logged about $72M of net outflows in October, the weakest month since they launched (SolanaFloor). Between Oct 19 and 22 alone, net outflows were about $17M, with only two inflow days all month. Total net assets still sit around $1.6B, and cumulative net inflows since launch remain positive at about $1.54B, so this looks like de-risking, not an exodus. **2. Macro drag: Bitcoin below $82K** Bitcoin slid toward $81,000 this week, with over $250M in liquidations across the market. SOL has been trading with high beta to BTC, which explains much of its weakness despite strong network news. **3. Alpenglow is live: the "sell the news" hangover** Alpenglow, Solana's new consensus protocol replacing TowerBFT, activated on mainnet on Oct 21 with finality reported around 150 ms. It is one of the biggest upgrades in Solana's history, and the co-founders have said it is time to drop the "beta" label. The price did not follow: SOL dipped to ~$104 the next day and has drifted lower since, a classic "sell the news" reaction. The long-term fundamental case got stronger this week even as the chart got weaker. **4. 74% of SOL is now staked** About 437M SOL (74.1% of circulating supply) is staked, leaving a free float of roughly 152M SOL (CryptoTicker). Nominal staking yield is ~4.8% (≈4.6% after median commission), inflation is ~3.59%, and there are 664 active validators with a Nakamoto coefficient of 18. A small free float means price can move sharply in both directions when flows change. **5. Institutional adoption keeps building** In the background, the ecosystem keeps adding real-world use: tokenized funds and RWA products on Solana, Samsung Wallet integration (announced earlier in October), and a second Solana ETF in Hong Kong. None of it moved price this week, but it supports the long-term thesis. ## Key levels to watch - Support: $100 (psychological level, defended all month), then $98.5 (this weekend's low), then ~$96 (100-day average) - Resistance: $103.5, then $109-111 (20/50-day averages, where SOL has failed since Oct 8) ## Market sentiment for the next 24h: Neutral to slightly bearish Momentum is weak and ETF flows are negative, but sellers have not been able to break $100 cleanly, and weekend volume is thin. Our base case for the next 24 hours is range trading between roughly $98 and $104. A daily close below $98 would open the door to the mid-$90s. A move back above $104 with Bitcoin recovering $83K+ would flip the short-term picture to neutral-bullish. Watch the Monday ETF flow data and BTC direction as the main triggers. Stay safe, size your positions carefully, and remember: this is news and market context, not financial advice.
