Solana (SOL) Price Today: SOL Holds $95 as ETF Outflows Clash with Alpenglow & Institutional Wins | Nov 1, 2026

**Solana Family Daily Brief — Sunday, November 1, 2026 (12:15 UTC)** ## SOL price snapshot (last 24h) - **SOL/USDT:** $95.26 — 24h change: about -0.6% (24h range $95.17 – $96.38, OKX spot) - **SOL/USDC:** $95.17 — 24h change: about -0.6% (24h range $95.08 – $96.27, OKX spot) - **Aggregate (CoinGecko):** $95.19, -0.68% in 24h · Market cap ~$56.2B · 24h volume ~$1.18B A quiet, tight weekend session: SOL has spent the whole day boxed in a roughly $1.30 range just below $96, after a rough October that took it from ~$109 on Alpenglow day (Oct 21) down to the mid-$90s. ## What happened in the Solana ecosystem **1. Institutional money keeps building on Solana — even while price drifts.** Standard Chartered-backed Anchorpoint announced it will bring its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin ($HKDAP) to Solana, with native minting and redemption aimed at retail payments, tokenized assets and cross-border flows (Oct 30). That follows Mirae Asset Securities' Hong Kong unit issuing six-month tokenized notes on Solana under a $3B program, and Polygon expanding its Open Money Stack payments services to Solana. Hong Kong also got its second spot SOL ETF via Pando. **2. ETF flows are the headwind.** U.S. spot SOL ETFs saw net outflows of $19.16M on Oct 27 and $5.66M on Oct 28 ($24.82M combined) — reportedly the biggest single-day outflow since December 2025. SolanaFloor notes October was the worst month for Solana ETFs since launch, although cumulative net inflows since launch remain around $1.5B. On-chain trackers also flagged a large wallet selling ~1M SOL over five days. **3. Alpenglow is live — the network story is strong.** Alpenglow (Votor consensus replacing TowerBFT) activated on Oct 21. Finality dropped from ~12.8 seconds to sub-second: independent sampling measured a ~404 ms median (target 150 ms). Validator vote fees were replaced by a 0.8 SOL per-epoch admission ticket that is burned. Solana's co-founders now argue it's time to drop the "beta" label. Next on the roadmap: Agave 4.4 (fast leader handoff, targeted around Nov 9) and Agave 4.5 in December. The Oct 29 Solana changelog brought offchain message signing plus new Agave and Firedancer releases. **4. DeFi rotation.** Jupiter Lend has passed Kamino in deposits to become Solana's largest lending market, with TVL above $1.5B. **5. Macro is weighing on everything.** Bitcoin has struggled around the $80K–$82K zone amid Middle East tensions, with $250M+ in liquidations during the week — SOL has been trading with high beta to BTC. ## Technical picture - **Support:** $94.90–$95.00 (immediate, also lower Bollinger band), $94.48 (key), then the 200-day SMA near **$88.90** - **Resistance:** $96.15 / $96.90, then the 7-day SMA (~$98.20) and the psychological **$100** level; $104–105 is the level bulls need to reclaim to change the trend - **Momentum:** RSI(14) ~30 (borderline oversold), Stochastic in oversold territory, price below the 7/20/50-day averages - **Derivatives:** Funding slightly positive (~0.009%/8h), open interest up ~1% and long/short ratios heavily long (~76% of accounts) — crowded longs can fuel a flush if support breaks ## Sentiment for the next 24 hours: **Neutral-to-Bearish (cautious)** The fundamentals have arguably never been better — sub-second finality, banks issuing stablecoins and notes on Solana, a growing ETF footprint in Asia. But price is following macro and ETF flows, not fundamentals, right now. - **Base case:** consolidation between **$94.50 and $97** as the weekend closes; Sunday liquidity is thin. - **Bullish trigger:** oversold readings could produce a relief bounce toward **$98–$100** if BTC holds $80K and Monday's ETF flows turn positive. - **Bearish trigger:** a daily close below **$94.48** — with longs this crowded — opens the door to a move toward the 200-day SMA around **$89**. Watch Monday's U.S. ETF flow data and Bitcoin's $80K level. Those two will likely decide SOL's next move. --- *Sources: SolanaFloor, Solana.com News, Cointelegraph, Decrypt, Blockchain.News, Coincub, ad-hoc-news; prices from OKX, Kraken, Coinbase and CoinGecko at ~12:15 UTC.
